Four years at Tait Communications in Christchurch, engineering radio communications systems used where comms failure is not an option. Started as a repair technician and wrote the software frameworks used to communicate with and test the radios. The role was meant to be a stepping stone, but the work was too valuable to move on from. Two years later, promoted into the engineering track as a junior test engineer, then a test engineer.
